SEPTEMBER
2007 NEWS UPDATE

Knebworth Festival did KTA a huge favour – in the course of
the Mini-Fete and the Talk by Mervyn Miller, we signed up no less than 15
families to receive information about our activities. So – a very warm
welcome to you all and we hope that you will enjoy being part of this
organisation.
Nearly 90 people attended Dr Miller’s talk about the
Garden City Movement, a very scholarly presentation with slides. Thanks to
John Hunt who entertained us on the piano afterwards, his first tune being,
of course, “In an English Country Garden”!
Datchworth School. Alison, Ann and I spent a
delightful afternoon meeting pupils in Years 5 and 6 and telling them about
Châtelaillon and the Boucholeurs School with whose pupils they are
corresponding. Thanks to Gina Beauchamp for her warm welcome.
