Since Willow Watercolours was founded in 2001
the group has enjoyed being involved in local activities.
• At each exhibition we
donate a percentage of our takings to the 1st Welwyn Scouts
• A painting of Digswell Viaduct and the
promise of a watercolour lesson were part of the ‘Auction of Promises’
for funds for the new Scouts HQ.
• Cancer Research has benefited from the
proceeds of a project when each member painted Welwyn St Mary’s Church
and the pictures were auctioned at our Winter Exhibition
• Another painting now resides in France as a
gift presented by a member of the Twinning committee
• Most recently, we have provided two
detailed paintings to help with fundraising for the proposed extension
to the Welwyn Tennis Clubhouse and new Mini-Tennis facilities for
children.
These two paintings will be on display and for sale at our Summer
Exhibition. We
invite you to drop in and view these and our other latest watercolours
such as landscapes, flowers, seascapes and local scenes.
It’s all happening at the 1st Welwyn Scouts
HQ, Lockleys Drive, Welwyn and is open to the public on Saturday June
18th from 9.00am to 4.00pm and Sunday 19th June from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
