First Capital Connect are proposing to have the
Knebworth station ticket office closed after 10.50am on weekdays and all
weekend. It's currently open from 0650 -
1500 Mondays to Fridays and from 0720 - 1355 on Saturdays. The new
opening hours would mean a drastic reduction to 0650-1050 Mondays to
Fridays (just four hours a day), closed all week-end.
There is a petition protesting against the proposals
at the station (last date to do this is
3 February).
