The East
of England Regional Assembly (EERA) which is
an unelected body has issued figures aimed at extending the number of
new houses being built in Hertfordshire to 79,600 between now and
2021. |

One person, Dennis Preedy, feels so strongly about
the issue that he has launched a petition to abolish the EERA who redistributed the housing figures in the East of England
Plan. This would increase Hertfordshire's allocation from 72,000 to 79,600,
(including an additional 2,500 in North Herts bringing their total to
15,800), and a huge increase from 9,700 to 20,800 in East Herts. If
