Will Sidney kill for the opportunity to get his hands on the script? 'Deathtrap' by Ira Levin is a self-parodying thriller.

This one-set, 5-cast spine-chiller features Chris Simson as Sidney Bruhl, a one-hit wonder thriller writer seeking to recreate the perfect - wait for it - one-set 5-cast spine-chiller.

Into his lap plops 'Deathtrap' - a manuscript written by one of his Summer School students, Clifford Anderson (a welcome return to the Knebworth boards for Nick Watts). Will Sidney kill for the opportunity to get his hands on it?

Bodies hit the stage like flies as the play twists and turns at a breakneck pace equal to any white-knuckle Theme Park ride. Colin Macleod plays Porter Milgrim, a wily lawyer.

Representing the feminine interest are Nita Gowans, playing Sidney's wife, Myra and Margaret Webb offering some comic relief as the unpronounceable Dutch Psychic Helga ten Dorp. (Where does Ira get these names from?). Director is Mary Hearmon.

Whether it takes itself seriously or not, Deathtrap is guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seats.
