LEARN TO LOVE YOUR BRUSHES
For the summer term this year, students of watercolour specialist
Fiona Pruden will be taken through a series of exercises at the
beginning of term to help them ‘learn to love their brushes!!!
The course progresses through painting an old master to experiencing
the delights of outdoor painting at Stanborough Lakes – weather
permitting, of course – and along the way you will learn lots of the
tips, tricks and techniques for painting glorious watercolours. Later in
the summer we will concentrate on the skills you need to work with
portraiture and finally finish the term with a sunny summer still life
including some glass, lace, flowers and summer fruits. Sumptuous!
Painters and sketchers of all abilities are welcome to join these
friendly and relaxing groups, held in the dedicated watercolour studio
near Welwyn village. Times and details are:
- Mondays 9.30am – 12.00 Watercolour Beginners
- Mondays 12.30 – 3.00pm Improvers
- Tuesdays 9.30am –
12.00 Experienced watercolourists
- Tuesdays 12.30 – 3.00pm Drawing and
Sketching
All classes cost just £13.00 per week, including teas, cappuccinos
and great biscuits to help keep your strength up and tackle every
subject! (Classes follow normal term times).
