Congratulations to Woolmer Green.
After several attempts and category
awards, they have finally been rewarded with the big prize,
"Hertfordshire Village of the Year 2008".
The competition is organised by CPRE –
The Hertfordshire Society and sponsored by Calor in association with
Hertfordshire County Council, Majestic Trees and The Mercury.
The Year 1 / 2 age band of the associated
children’s poster competition was won by Anna Brockman of St. Michael’s
School and the prize was sponsored by Art Van Go of Knebworth.
The village trophy (affectionately known
as the ‘totem pole’) will be unveiled on Saturday 19 July at 2.30pm.
