NEW YEAR, NEW CHALLENGE
Time to put a new date in your diary to start with an
entirely new season of classes for the complete beginner in watercolour
painting.
The new classes begin at 9.30am on Monday 8th January
2007, and anyone can join – even if you haven’t touched a paintbrush
since school days. For just £13 per week, the classes build into a
complete course covering all the techniques you will ever need, from
making marks and your first washes using different types of brushes,
through everything you will ever need to know about colour mixing,
light, contrast and tonal values. Later on, we introduce you to some
more technical areas like improving your drawing and understanding
perspective. A schedule of the first terms’ classes is attached.
All class sizes are kept to a maximum of six people,
so you always get the personal attention you need. The atmosphere is
sociable and relaxed – with plenty of cappuccino and biscuits to keep us
going - and many lasting friendships develop over the terms. We also
organise various activities that everyone can join in with later in the
year, from video evenings, demonstrations and visits to London
galleries.
For more information including details of materials
needed for joining these classes, please contact Fiona Pruden, 01438
840977 or 07956 537140 or email to
fiona.pruden@btopenworld.com. Classes for more experienced painters
are also available.
