The proposed 15th October Parish Meeting did not happen.
Sorry about that. It seemed a good idea at the time but we could not gather
together enough useful information to make the meeting meaningful.
Local Development Framework
The Local Development Framework (LDF) exhibition did happen and I will
report on visitor numbers in December. It included leaflets to explain the
best ways of responding to the LDF consultation.
Green Belt issues
We do expect to hold a Parish Meeting on Green Belt Issues on Wednesday 5th
December at the Village Hall. This, again, is in the early planning stages.
If all goes well we should be able to confirm details in the Comet and in
the December Parish News. Also in that issue we should be able to give an
outline of the things to be discussed and upon which we hope to have a vote.
Village development
A viability study looking at various options for the development of the
village is being carried out and I hope we may have sufficient information
early enough to get a newsletter out to the whole village prior to December
5th. This would give those interested a bit of time to digest the contents
of the various options prior to asking questions and voting at the meeting.
Why this haste and why as early as December 5th. This is
to allow NHDC time to include the wishes of the village in the LDF documents
that go for ratification early in the spring.
Do go and have a look at the new play equipment on the
Recreation Ground. King George V is next on the list.
Our youth
Things are moving forward on the youth club front. Lots of people have been
working very hard and things should happen in the new year.
Volunteers step forward!
The Parish Council has a vacancy for a Parish Councillor. We are looking for
a resident to co-opt onto the Parish Council. If you want to know more about
what the position involves please ask me or any Parish Councillor or the
clerk. The clerk can also give you information about eligibility for the
post. Contact Claire Graham on 01438 813795 or
clerk.knebworth@btconnect.com
Fireworks
If you are setting off fireworks on November 5th do please be careful, for
your own safety and the safety of those around you. Enjoy! |
